About Cosy Em

Cosy Em is an independent British women’s knitwear brand founded by designer Emma in Hertfordshire in 2023. Created for women who love colour, Cosy Em specialises in joyful jumpers, statement cardigans, knitted tank tops and colourful accessories designed to make everyday dressing feel a little brighter.

Our knitwear combines playful colour, easy-to-wear shapes and distinctive details, including stripes, sparkle and signature lurex trims. Many of our designs are made using soft mohair and merino wool blends, creating beautiful knitwear that feels as good to wear as it looks.

 

Meet Emma, Founder of Cosy Em

Hi, I’m Emma, designer and founder of Cosy Em.

I created Cosy Em from a lifelong love of fashion, colour and knitwear, with a simple idea: to design pieces that feel special but are still easy to wear in real life.

Colour is at the heart of everything I create. I love experimenting with unexpected combinations, stripes and subtle sparkle to design knitwear that can transform a simple pair of jeans or bring something joyful to an everyday outfit.

As an independent brand, I’m closely involved in the collections, from developing colours and designs to choosing the details that make each piece distinctly Cosy Em.

Colourful Knitwear Designed to Be Worn

Cosy Em is about statement knitwear you don’t have to save for a special occasion. I want each piece to become something you instinctively reach for, comfortable enough for everyday life, but distinctive enough to make getting dressed feel more interesting.

From lightweight layers to cosier knits, the collections are designed to work across the seasons and alongside clothes you already own. The result is colourful, wearable knitwear with personality.

 

Mohair & Merino Wool Knitwear

Many Cosy Em knits are created using carefully selected mohair and merino wool blend yarns. Mohair brings softness, warmth and its distinctive fluffy texture, while merino wool adds natural warmth and comfort.

Our yarn blends are chosen to balance the beautiful look and feel of natural fibres with durability and everyday practicality, so your Cosy Em knit can be enjoyed and worn rather than kept for best.

 

A note about our imagery

Every Cosy Em piece is photographed on a real person first, so we can capture the genuine fit, drape, texture and details of the knitwear.

For some of our imagery, we then use AI-assisted editing to change the model featured in the photograph. This allows us to show our knitwear on a wider range of models in a studio setting while keeping photography costs manageable as a small, self-funded brand.

We carefully check our edited imagery to ensure the knitwear remains a faithful representation of the real garment. Sometimes the original pose remains exactly the same, while in other images the model or pose may change.

Using technology in this way means we can invest more of our budget where it matters most to you, creating beautiful knitwear, holding stock and getting out to events where we can meet our customers in person.

The models may sometimes change, but the knitwear is always Cosy Em.
